Halozyme Mini-Sites
Giving Halozyme’s drug delivery technologies a life online
Background
Halozyme is a publicly traded pharmaceutical and delivery device company. They are focused on innovative and disruptive solutions that provide new therapeutic options that could significantly improve the patient experience.
We have been working with Halozyme and their wholly owned company Antares Pharma for well over a decade on projects ranging from corporate websites to publications display graphics, product marketing and packaging, In 2024 Halozyme’s corporate Marketing Director pulled us into a website rework project, finding a new, cleaner way to display information and communicate beautifully to improve the user experience of a website that we inherited to maintain.
In 2024 we launched their Auto-injector mini-site, in which we established a new look and feel for the sections of the site that were are building section by section.
We designed and built the EHANZE portion of the site in 2025.
Project Objective
Remake a tired design and reenergize it while keeping things, clean and simple, corporate but fresh. With the client we are working through the Halozyme website section by section and have launched two mini-sites; one for ENHANZE® the keystone technology of Halozyme, and one for their auto-injector drug delivery technologies.
We worked with Halozyme’s internal team to develop and refine content and visuals. Our team designed and developed the website.
Challenges
The mini-sites needed to echo the established new design yet – not completely clash with the existing older website that we inherited. The information included in the section is heavy and we wanted to ensure that accessing it and understanding it was a lighter experience than the original website in feel.
Like all projects within this sector, everything is reviewed thoroughly from a legal, and regulatory perspective through their MAP review process, which results in numerous rounds of revisions and changes as needed to adhere to the concerns of the MAP team.
Website Transformation
With our first section launch we established the look and feel and developed a color palette and how the styles should be used accross sections.
We used that design as a template when we designed the second section. But each section received its own character using a different color from their style guide – giving the section its own identity.
Conclusion
These projects were a perfectly balanced collaboration with the client. We partnered on everything from design to content. We coded the site outside of the content management system, to reduce security risks. We also launched on time and within budget.
The site continues to serve the client well and we are scheduled to work on another mini-site section in 2026.
